ITINERARY PROPOSAL:

Day 1 HOME—Beijing

Transportation: Air conditioned coach | Hotel: 4 to 5 Star

Assemble at international airport to board your flight for Beijing, the capital of China, which hosted the 2008 Olympic Games. Upon arrival meet and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure to recover from jetlag or explore the city.

Day 2 Beijing

Breakfast: Hotel | Lunch | Dinner | Transportation: Air conditioned coach | Hotel: 4 to 5 Star

After breakfast, visit the Tian'an Men Square, the largest public square in the world. Walk through the Gate of Heavenly Peace to the magnificent Forbidden City, which was home to the Ming and Qing dynasties for over 500 years. After lunch, continue visit to the Temple of Heaven, a complex of buildings representing the pinnacle of Ming and Qing architecture built in 1420, including the Hall of Prayer for good harvest, Imperial Vault of Heaven, Circular Altar, and Abstinence Palace.

Day 3 Beijing

After breakfast, tranfer to visit the Great Wall (Badaling Section). Built over 2,000 years ago, it stretches 4,000 miles across mountains and valleys in the northern part of China. After a Jade Factory or Cloisonne (enamelware) workshop visit, we continue to see the Chang Tomb of Imperial Ming Tombs – the mausoleums of 13 emperors. See the Underground Palace and enjoy the rustic setting of the Tombs. Followed by a visit to the Olympic Park, where you have a chance to see outdoor scene of Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) and Water Cube.

Day 4 Beijing-Xi'an      Flight No. TBA

After breakfast check out, transfer to airport for your flight to Xi'an, one of the oldest cities in China. Upon arrival, proceed to visit one of the best museums in China, the Shaanxi Historical Museum. Take a stroll along the Ancient City Wall.

Day 5 Xi'an

Breakfast: Hotel | Lunch | Dinner | Transportation: Air conditioned coach | Hotel: 4 to 5 Star

After breakfast, visit the incredible 2000 year-old Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum which is said to be the Eighth Wonder of the world. Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda where widely renowned Master Xuanzang (Monk Tripitaka) stored his collection of classic Buddhist artifacts brought from India. Then proceed to the Great Mosque. The bazaar near the Great Mosque is a famous muslim street for local flavor food and various souvenirs. You may have a chance walking across it.

Day 6 Xi'an – Chongqing     Flight No. TBA

After breakfast, transfer to airport for your flight to Chongqing. On arrival, meet and have a short visit around the city center: Hongyadong Cave, Great Hall of People and Liberation Memorial Monument. And then go to the Eling Park where you will have a bird's view of the city. After dinner to the appropriate wharf to board the Yangtze Cruise that disembogues from Chongqing at night.

Day 7 Yangtze River Cruise

You can arise early for a spectacular morning view on the mighty Yangtze River. After breakfast on board, disembark at ancient Fengdu, the legendary city of ghost. Here you can explore the local temples.

Day 8 Yangtze River Cruise

Today you will cruise through the first of the three Gorges, Qutang Gorge. This breathtaking narrow passage through misty peaks and sheer cliffs is the grandest of them all. Continuing upstream, weaving through Wu Gorge, with bewitching Twelve Peaks soaring above. Then continue to Wushan and boats for a trip up the Daning River to the Three Small Gorges, a stunning area of dramatic hillsides, caves and lush bamboo.

Day 9  Yangtze Cruise/Yichang-Shanghai     Flight No. TBA

Today in the morning you will visit the Three Gorges Dam at Yichang. The cruiser will disembark in Yichang after lunch. You will meet your guide at pier. Transfer to airport for your flight to Shanghai, on arrival transfer to hotel and relax or have your own time exploring the city.

Day 10 Shanghai

After a buffet breakfast, we take you on a full day tour of Shanghai. Visit Shanghai Museum which is the biggest museum in China with a collection of 120,000 precious works of art. Followed by a visit to Jade Buddha Temple. Built in 1882, the temple has two Jade statues of the Sakyamuni Buddha and houses various ancient sculptures, rare paintings and Buddhist scriptures. After lunch, a visit to the Bund will be arranged. The bund now is a well-known waterfront park which shows Shanghai in early 1930s.

Day 11 Shanghai

Breakfast: Hotel | Lunch | Dinner | Transportation: Air conditioned coach | Hotel: 4 to 5 Star

After breakfast, visit Yuyuan Garden, a maze of marvelous pavilions, ponds, little rock mountain and arching tress; Chenghuangmiao Market is one of the most popular local markets. Proceed to enjoy a thrilling trip to the 88th floor of the Jin Mao Tower where you can have a birds-eye view of Shanghai and the Huang Pu River. Enjoy some free time in the afternoon to wonder around Nanjing Road, a famous commercial street. Your tour today include a visit to a Silk Workshop.

Day 12 Shanghai—HOME

Breakfast: Hotel |  Transportation: Air conditioned coach

After breakfast, free at leisure for last minute shopping or get ready for departure until transfer to airport for your flight to fly back home.
