Booking through us means you agree to the applicability of our website booker terms and conditions. We suggest that you’d better read them carefully before you make a reservation with us.

Reservations, Deposit & Payment:

• A NON-refundable deposit of USD $300 per person is required for us to proceed with the reservation 60 days in advance of the scheduled departure date.
• FINAL PAYMENT is due 30 days prior to commencement of each tour. Failure to do so will result in the reservations being canceled without notice.
• FULL PAYMENT is required at time of booking for reservations made less than 30 days before departure.
•  A fee of USD $50 per transaction will be charged for any alteration or revision made to a reservation. Airline penalties will also apply.
•  A change of traveler name, date or itinerary within 30 days of the travel date will be treated as cancellation and the cancellation policy will apply.
• In addition to your reservation and deposit, the following items are required to complete and process your reservation:

 Cancellation Fees:

• 60-31 days before commencement of tour……..20% of total price
• 30-16 days before commencement of tour……..30% of total price
• 15-8 days before commencement of tour……..50% of total price
• 7-4 days before commencement of tour……..80% of total price
• 3 days or less before commencement of tour……..100% of total price

ATTENTION:

        a. Cancellation policy will apply if the group has to cancelled under the circumstance of bad weather, strike, illness, or other irresistible factors.

        b. For any cancellation, the client is required to notify us by mail or fax. We calculate your refund on the day when we receive the written cancellation by Beijing time. All refunds to the client will be processed within 20 working days of receipt of your cancellation. All bank charges of the refund will be paid by client (USD $40 per time).

         c. If your tour covers Yangtze Cruise portion, in addition to the cancellation fee charged by us, there will be a penalty based on the relevant policy issued by the Cruise Company.

Airline Reservations and Passenger Names:

It is the responsibility of the travel agent/traveler to double verify that the name shown on the issued air ticket exactly matches the traveler’s passport name. A revision fee of USD $100 per person will be charged if name must be changed within 15 days prior to departure date; changes are also subject to airline penalties. We are not responsible for any ticket reissue charges or denial of boarding by an airline due to name discrepancy.

Travel Documentation:

Passport is required to travel to China. All travelers had better get a valid China visa before departure at Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in your own country unless you don’t need it. We do not accept responsibility for passengers in possession of incorrect or invalid visas. Tour fare is un-refundable for passengers being refused to entry into China.

Passengers traveling to Tibet: Entry permits to Tibet are handled by us. Your China visa is required in order for us to issue your entry permit into Tibet. Please note that we require a copy of the China visa no less than four weeks prior to departure.

ATTENTION:

Passports must have at least a six-month validity AFTER the date of return and should have at least four (4) blank pages for visa stamps.

Travel Insurance:

On top of the travel insurance from your home country with specific overseas coverage, you will be automatically covered by the China Life Tourist Accident/Casualty Insurance which included in our quotation for package tour bookings. However, this insurance is not applicable to the sole hotel/flight booking, ticket reservtion, guide/interpretor service, car rental etc. and will be available upon request with extra cost when make reservations. Besides that we recommend strongly that you buy full coverage international travel insurance in your own country or region before departure.

Health Requirements: 

Travelers should realize the international travel risk and familiarize themselves with health requirements applicable to the areas they intend to visit. They are solely responsible to check related conditions, such as safety, vaccination and other special requirements of health. They should examine carefully that whether their blood pressure and heart condition are suitable to travel in such a high altitude.

Tips and Gratuities:

• Tips and Gratuities for the customary end-of-tour gratuity to the local guides and drivers are not included, and are at the tour member’s discretion. Kindly find below our recommendation for your reference.

For group of 1-2 pax, minimum tipping is $15 / per person per day.

For group of 3-4 pax, minimum tipping is $10 / per person per day.

For group of 5-6 pax, minimum tipping is $8 / per person per day.

For group of 7-9 pax, minimum tipping is $6 / per person per day.

For group of 10 pax and above, minimum tipping is $5 / per person per day.

• Tips to restaurant and hotel waiters, chambermaids, and porters are not included.

Travel Agent Free from Responsibilities:

• Please advise Canton Tours of any disability requiring special attention at the time the reservation is made. We will make reasonable attempts to accommodate the special needs of disabled travelers, but is not responsible in the event it is unable to do so nor is it responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, restaurants, or other independent suppliers. Facilities for disabled individuals are limited in China. Most transportation services, including the touring motor coach, are not equipped with wheelchair ramps. We regret that we cannot provide individual assistance to a vacation participant for walking, dining, getting on and off motor coaches and other vehicles, or other personal needs. A qualified and physically able companion must accompany travelers who need such assistance and must assume full responsibility for their well-being. The passenger assumes the full risk of use and of any prohibitions imposed by vendors. Generally motorized scooters are not suitable on international tours.
• Baggage is the sole responsibility of the passenger throughout the tour. Canton Tours cannot be responsible for any loss or damage while traveling and strongly suggests that passenger purchase baggage insurance. Weight limit per luggage for domestic flights in China is 20 kilograms of economy class.
• The carriers, accommodations and other suppliers providing services are independent contractors and are not agents, employees of Canton Tours or its affiliates. Canton Tours assumes no responsibility and will not be held liable for any personal injury, property damage, or other loss, accident, delay, inconvenience, or irregularity by reason of (1) any wrongful or negligent acts or omissions on the part of its suppliers, (2) any wrongful, negligent, or unauthorized acts or omissions on the part of any employee of these suppliers, (3) any defect in or failure of any vehicle, equipment or instrumentality owned, operated, or used by any of these suppliers, or (4) any wrongful or negligent acts or omissions on the part of any other party not under the control, direct or otherwise, of Canton Tours, or (5) acts of God.

 Other Terms:

• FINAL CONFIRMATION of the tour will become valid upon the success of transfer into the directed bank account.
• NO SHOW passengers will be charged 100% of total tour fare.
• No REFUNDMENT after commencement of the tour.
• Young Travelers who are less than 18 years old on the departure date must be accompanied by an adult and must share the adult’s accommodations.
• Young Travelers aged 11 and under will receive a 10% discount on the tour price.
• Usually hotel check-in time is 14:00 PM, if the tour group need to check in earlier and have hotel breakfast due to morning flight, then extra breakfast-fee and half-day room rates will be charged. Please understand that the above is not our regulations but the hotels’.
• Under the same standard of scenic spots and hospitality, Canton Tours including our tour operator or guide reserves the right to adjust the procedure of the itinerary according to the real situation.
• All tour prices are based on rates tied to the RMB (Chinese Currency) and are subject to change if such rates change prior to departure. The current price will be confirmed at the time of reservations. Once Canton Tours has received your deposit for your tour booking, that price is guaranteed, and any subsequent increases are at our expenses.
• The accommodations listed with the tours are intended to be used with each tour. If changes become necessary for any reason, the accommodations substituted will be equivalent in standard to those shown. Unless requested otherwise, we will book non-smoking rooms. Please note that hotels cannot always guarantee non-smoking rooms.
• The following are not included in our tour fares: meals not specified in the itinerary, charges for passports, visas, international air ticket, airport taxes, vaccinations and inoculations, optional sightseeing tours, excess baggage, health, accident and baggage insurance, telephone, laundry, items of a personal nature, incidental charges in hotels, and any items not specifically listed as included.
